About

Patient education by a UK pharmacy team.

The Farmeci Blog is written and clinically reviewed by Farmeci's UK GPhC-registered pharmacists and independent prescribers. Our mission is to explain conditions and medications in plain English — so you can have a better conversation with your clinician.

Our editorial principles

Every article on this blog follows the same editorial standard:

Regulatory framework

Farmeci is a UK pharmacy registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). Our content operates within UK MHRA rules on the advertising of medicines to the public, the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) CAP Code, and the GPhC's standards for pharmacy professionals. We do not advertise prescription-only medicines to the public.

Our clinical team

Every article is written or reviewed by the Farmeci clinical team: UK GPhC-registered pharmacists and independent prescribers, led by our Principal Pharmacist. Registrations can be verified on the GPhC register.

How we cover topics

Articles are checked by the Farmeci clinical team against current UK guidance (NHS, NICE, MHRA and the BNF) before publication. Where an article has been personally reviewed by a named clinician, that clinician and their GPhC number are shown in the article byline; otherwise the byline credits the clinical team as a whole.

How a Farmeci consultation works

Articles end with a call to action to book a free online consultation. A UK-registered clinician reviews the patient's answers and medical history, and decides whether treatment is appropriate. If treatment is approved, dispensing is handled by Farmeci's GPhC-registered pharmacy team. The consultation is free; patients only pay if they proceed with an approved treatment.
